We have a limited quantity of SPS-520R or F registers available

Just today we took in another four SPS-520 cash registers in on trade. These will be sold as either the F or R version.  The raised version has always been the more popular model for retail applications. Since these registers were discontinued in 2019 they have been hard to come by. So if you are currently looking for one don't wait too long because they go quickly every time we get a trade in.

The SAM4s SAP-630R replaced the 520R

If you are looking to upgrade we can transfer your database from the SPS-500 series into the new SAP-630 series. The SAP-630R is a far more advanced system. The biggest changes come in reporting and programming. This is the first SAM4s series that operates on Android and can email reports. Not only can reports be emailed but it also has an optional mobile application.  Support is also made much easier because we can remotely log into this register.

SAM4s again leading the way in POS systems

Years ago there were four different major cash register companies in the US. There was SAM4s, TEC, Sharp and Casio. SAM4s seems to have emerged as the top dog in the fight. Rumors are that Sharp is leaving the market, I think TEC already left the industry. Casio is still around and have a few decent models but SAM4s is still active with a robust line up to choose from.

A Tablet POS system that does not need the cloud

The trend in the POS industry is going with tablets like the iPad or an Android tablet. I think the jury is still out on whether this trend will be sustained or not, however it is currently a hot market in Seattle.

There are a couple problems that arise with some Tablet POS systems we have come across and even replaced with a more traditional POS system like Digital Dining or a SAM4s cash register. The problem in most every case is because the majority of Tablet systems seem to be cloud based instead of being in-house. Being cloud based has pros and cons and you need to decide what is important for you.

I personally recently went to a small cup cake bakery to buy cupcakes for my children. The bakery had a very nice looking Tablet POS system, however I don't know the brand they were using.
