Often we receive phone calls from people that are having a hard time figuring out their cash register they bought elsewhere because they did not consult with a cash register company before buying one. We have seen people buy registers too small for what they are doing or too big for the volume a store is doing.
Often people just make assumptions that all cash registers can do all things. Many people think cash registers can interface directly with standalone credit card machines, or that they can be polled over the internet.
So don't buy your cash register at a big box store where you won't be able to get support when you need it, call a cash register company for help selecting the right machine at 1-800-863-2274

We bought 2 Sam4s series 500POS registers last fall...just was were going into our busiest 6 months. They work great and we are very please with our purchase, but now that our busy time is over we really want to get to know and understand the end of day (Z-1) print out. I have looked thru both manuals on the disc that came with them, but cannot find anywhere an actual picture of said receipt and an explanation of what each line means.
I loved that about our old register (Sharp) the booklet had pictures of everything...very simple to follow.Do you know of any document that would show us that? Thanks, L Stever
Yes you did it just fine. OK I know exactly what you are talking about. The sharp manual explained what every line on the reports meant and was very useful. The SPS-500 series manual does in fact picture the reports but they DO NOT explain every line and what it means. That is the only documentation available for those machines.
