HI, I just purchased 2 sam4s 5200em units. these are stand alone- not linked together. the one unit ran out of juournal paper which I replaced. Now that unit is giving an error code as follows: "**warning!** J paper end" and this register is totally locked up. What is this? I cannot get out of this mode. The journal paper is installed correctly. What's the problem? How do I re-set the unit for normal functioning? Any assistance from you would be great. Thanks, Paul
First you should have bought them from us and you could have just called and we would have walked you through it for free.
Try pressing clear after your replace the paper, if the does not work you should be able to do an init clear. But make sure the printer is closed correctly and you have pressed clear. SAM4s ER-5200M Cash Register
Law Enforcement Office here with a problem on a SAM4S ER-5200M connected to a validator for printing on documents. Validator is an EPSON TM-U295 Model M66SA.
Removing inventoried money, at the end of the process we get an error that says "WARNING OFF LINE ERROR"
This error message does not subtract the money from our existing total, causing the balance to be incorrect. How can we correct that?
All connections seem to be good and connected to register.
Hi John, happy to help but I need a little more info. The Off Line Error I think is that the Epson printer is not ready at the time. Could be loose cable or maybe the printer has an Off Line and On Line mode that is placed in off line? So what I need to know is how do you correct this error and does it ever print or do you do a init clear or something to bypass error? If so that transaction you are in would not be posted leaving you with the reults you mentioned. Let me know the steps and what is printed on r/j printer

Sorry for the silly answer but sounds like it is out of paper? Check the paper roll replace if needed and press clear?
